About This Item

Mars-500 war ein durchgeführtes Experiment, bei dem der erste bemannte Marsflug simuliert werden sollte. Die Mission gliederte sich in drei Hauptteile:
1. Hinflug zum Mars: 250 Tage.
2. Aufenthalt von 3 Crewmitgliedern im Mars-Modul: 30 Tage.
3. Rückflug zur Erde: 240 Tage.

Die Freiwilligen wurden für 520 Tage in einem Komplex isoliert.


Mars-500 was an accomplished experiment in which the first manned flight to Mars should be simulated. The mission was divided into three main parts:
1. One way to Mars: 250 days.
2. Stay of 3 crew members in the Mars module: 30 days.
3. Return to earth: 240 days.

The volunteers were isolated in a complex for 520 day.
