As with all our jeep travel bugs, we would like to see this one get to do some real off-roading and travel through scenic, non-urban and safe caches so it stays on the road for others to discover and move. In our experience, and that of others who send trackables out, TB hotels and events, particularly "grab tables" at events are places to avoid. Quick moves or drops are not important; take the time to pick a good place to park these, and let others discover them while in your care. Photos are always welcome.
The original jeep went mia so we have sent out a replacement with a custom tag. Please observe the listing suggestions on picking a safe cache or trusted hands to move this jeep on so it survives for others to share.
Another Willys hits the road, joining several other series of jeeps we have sent out to help keep slowly disappearing jeeps in caches. In this series the Willys Jeeps will rotate colors with traditional green, light green, and desert sand colors. This one started out dark green and the replacement is a new shade, kind of a golden brown (the current year's model apparently). These vintage jeeps are naturally a bit smaller than some of the other models. In fact, I saw one this morning while stopping for gas, and the owner told me his was a 1947 model. It was very cool and in great shape. Enjoy this one, and move it safely rather than quickly so it survives for others to see.
