Current Goal

To travel the world and have a photo taken with other rhinos. Ultimate aim: to meet relatives in the wild in Africa.

About This Item

Sly2 found this lovely rhino in a cache (Beggarly Bisley – GC2MR5Q) and thought it would make a good TB. So the rhino is now setting off on its travels, hopefully making it all the way to Africa. Along the way it would like its photo taken with others of its species, so if you can help with that mission, please do so. Many thanks!

Went to "Africa Alive" on Saturday http://www.africa-alive.co.uk/ and so your roving rhino got to meet a black rhino or two, along with several other friends originating from that continent. Unfortunately I got a bit carried away with the camera so you've got a few more photos than I expect you bargained on! Left the TB this morning at a nearby cache (as I forgot to take him to Africa Alive - oops) which is decidedly British but very, very pretty... Happy travelling!

  • Foxy lady. Actually, I have no idea what gender it is, I just know that African foxes, apparently, have cute ears and sleep in a cute little rolled up ball. Cute.
  • Da boss What to say? I wouldn't mess with him.
  • The lady of the manor I'm pretty sure I wouldn't mess with her either.
  • Black rhino Dude was so chilled out it was ridiculous. Came insanely close to us and just couldn't give a monkeys.
  • Horny I think they're made of hair aren't they?
  • Cheeky monkey I wish I had feet like that. Don't really know why.
  • Cheeky monkeys I've got loads of photos of them hanging off of each others' tails!? You'd think it hurt! Yes yes, I know they're not monkeys. Ring Tailed Lemurs. Aren't they monkeys?
  • African Barn Owl One of the few species in the park that isn't currently considered at any risk, to any degree, of extinction.
  • Err... ok, it's not Africa View nearby where we left the roving rhino. Not very African, granted, but beautiful none-the-less.

We will do our best... It may have to be a zoo rather than Africa though. I love a good zoo, so this is a great excuse to make my partner come to a zoo with me soon!
