My friend and I went geocaching for the first time tonight. We had planned to go in the afternoon, but something came up. (I'm glad we didn't end up going then, because it was scorching hot!) We left on our adventure right around sunset. Our intended destination was actually a different cache. However, when we got there, it was too dark to look around under the cover of the trees, and the terrain was unpredictable. We decided to continue on to Team Touchngo's First, which we had already saved in my friend's GPS. We found the decrypted clue to be very obvious once we arrived, but we still had a hard time seeing in the dim moonlight. My friend noticed an "X" on the nearby signpost, and I KNEW we were close. ("X marks the spot," after all.) We looked around the area with the light from my friend's cell phone to no avail. Just when she was about to give up and go home, I found it! We opened it like giddy children and found this travel bug inside. It was a fantastic first time. :D
