To see the world through your eyes, traveling from one cache to another in interesting places. My goal is to have a picture taken of each new owner wearing these glasses, and to have that picture posted to my log's gallery. Someday, I'll write a book about who I've met, where we were when we met, and what my new owner thought about the place they visited.
These glasses were owned and worn by Alan Baker (a.k.a. Buttons). You can tell by the style, he was not Mr. Fashion. He passed away in 2003, but these glasses were kept by his youngest son as a memento of his loving father. Yes, they could have been donated to some charity like the Lions Club and put to better use, but they have a bigger purpose right now. It's time to let the glasses go. A new journey is awaiting. Al was a budding photographer, and he loved hiking in interesting places with his wife, Sonja (who passed away in 2004 from a broken heart). He had a passion for technology, but never knew about, nor had a chance to go, geocaching. He loved meeting new people, and his gift was becoming instant friends with everyone he met. What better way to keep his memory alive than to have these glasses travel the world looking through the eyes of people he would have befriended. What would they have seen? What would they have said to him? Please tell him your stories, and please leave a picture on my gallery. You will be creating something magical. It would mean more than you know to his youngest son, "GeeWhizzerBeans" (a fellow Geocacher).
