This replica of a Groundspeak Volunteer Geocoin is available for circulation in Vermont to allow as many geocachers a chance to log it as possible. Please move this replica coin into another cache as soon as possible so others will have a chance to log it. Later in the year, probably in December, the name of each cacher in Vermont who has logged the replica coin will be in a drawing to receive the actual coin. The winner may hold the actual coin as a souvenir or use it for trading. One ground rule: The actual coin is not to be listed for sale or sold.

Please do not give the coin tracking number to anyone who has not actually seen this item.

About This Item

In December of 2005, Groundspeak created a thank you coin for their volunteers. As one of the volunteers, I am aware that I would have nothing to do were it not for the geocachers in the states I review, so I am making one of my coins available for circulation in Vermont. Actually, this is a replica of the coin, and has been made for moving from cache to cache; this is to prevent the loss of the coin to someone who might want it for their personal collection. Please do not give the coin tracking number to anyone who has not actually seen this item.

Well, I didn't really retrieve it from here. I retrieved it from my mailbox after winning it in a "raffle" by gpsfun. Had to say I retrieved it so I can have it in Vermont.
