Current Goal

This TB wants to travel as far as it can, preferably around the coast, spreading the word that you should always swim between the flags. If it can be placed to rest in a cache close to any Surf Lifesaving club, so much the better. If you should happen to pass a surf carnival, surfing event or any thing similar while you have the TB, please stop off and take a photo for the gallery.

About This Item

The replacement trackable is off and running

This TB is not an official Surf Lifesaving Australia, or Lifesaving Victoria TB, but has been activated and released by keen Surf Lifesaving Club members. It's a dog-tag TB, with an attached photo in an ID card pouch. The TB was activated and released during the 2010 Victorian Surf Lifesaving Titles at Lakes Entrance. It was first placed in the "Remembering the ANZACs cache, which was the closest suitable one to the Lakes Entrance Surf Club. Happy trails little TB

The original trackable went missing and has been replaced thanks to the kindness of EXMAN, so let's hope this one has better luck !

A watery paradise that once had a swimming pool !! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
No sign of it or the flags now.
Crikey! It must have been cold too !! ๐Ÿ’€

There were a lot of flags flying around this area over the Easter long weekend ๐Ÿ™‚
The Between the Flags Dog Tag spent 3 nights here camped out with the hundreds of other travel bugs and geocoins that visited ๐Ÿ˜
Looks like many of them need saving as they are still listed in the cache ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
But this little bug swims on ๐Ÿ‘

Here's a place that needed some flags to swim between ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
The warning signs along the waters edge hinted at the possibility of unexpected changes in water levels and strong rips ๐Ÿ˜
I guess the ocean beaches aren't the only places that have these conditions.
Downstream of a hydroelectric plant will also provide a surprise for the unwary !!

Now here was a swimming hole with flags to visit ๐Ÿ™‚
The flags we ended up swimming between were not of the red and yellow variety though ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
These were black with a skull 'n' crossbones on 'em ๐Ÿ˜Ž
With the swiftly flowing current tugging at me knees as I grabbed the cache I hoped someone would rescue me if I got washed downstream ๐Ÿ˜

Retrieve It from a Cache 3/31/2010 If retrieved it from Mother Goose Victoria, Australia   Visit Log

With a name like "Mother Goose" this guardian travel bug just had to visit ๐Ÿ˜›
There was actually someone swimming here too !!
The waters were too cold for my liking though ๐Ÿ˜
