About This Item

Put me in your camera and take a picture

Attached to this bug is a 2 GB SD card, which is what most digital cameras use nowdays. If you have a digital camera that takes SD cards, please put it in your camera and take a picture or two. Then put the card back in its case and move it to another cache. DON'T FORGET TO SWAP THE CARDS BACK.

This should work no matter what type of camera you have. Your camera will add all the right folders and files it needs to the card. I have tested with a Nikon D40 and Canon SD800, and there are pictures already on the card. There is a very slight chance that your camera will want to write a photo to the card that already exists, in which case it might not work. Which is part of the experiment.

If your camera does not use a SD card, and you have a SD card reader on your computer, feel free to copy a picture to the card.

If you have a SD card reader, and want to be a good samaritan, you can upload the photos to a special FTP server:

Grabbed it from Ounasvaara I (GCMRV9). Nice idea for a travel bug! Will take a couple of photos and let the bug continue its travels.

Edit. Placed the TB in Riga (Latvia) cache Cafe House (TB hotel). I can´t post a new log because of forgetting to take the tracking code. Hopefully the next finder will be more careful with that.
