Nessie would like to return to her home in the Northern Highlands of Scotland. Any of the cities along the 24 mile freshwater Loch Ness lake will be fine.
Loch Ness is part of the Great Glen a fault line that runs 60 miles from Inverness in the north to Fort Williams in the south. It is made up of 3 lochs (lakes), Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness.
The first recorded sighting of the creature was in 565 by St Columba an Irish priest. In 1933 Mrs Mackay saw a disturbance in the loch. She saw a large beast in the middle of the loch rolling and plunging in the water. The sight was reported to Alex Campbell, a local game keeper. Campbell claims to have seen the monster 18 times. The first picture (np1) of the Loch Ness monster was taken on the 12th of November 1933 by Hugh Gray at Foyers. Robert Kenneth Wilson took 4 photos on the 19th of April 1934. Only two came out (np2) the best one being the now famous head and neck shots.
