I live on the edge! I want to experience the thrills of the world and meet everyone I can. Especially any of my cousins. I'm not very shy like my cousin the Humboldt and I love to do new things, so if I do something totally cool please log it. Pictures are always welcome!
There are about 7 million of us hanging around the sub-Antartic regions. We are about 27 inches tall and weigh about 9 pounds. We build our nests as high as we can where there isn't much snow. We like our children to have a nice long growing season! We can dive up to 230 feet but only for 30 seconds. Not quite as impressive as our Emperor cousins.

Found this non flying likttle bird in tha heart of lincoln city, or...... he seems to be on his way to meet a one cousin he be holdin dear in humbolt..... happy trails me friend and I hope happy travels to you....
