This trackable item has been sent out for Autism Awareness. My first Autism Awareness TB was recently tagged "missing".
Autism is a brain development disorder that is characterized by impaired social interaction and communication, and restricted and repetitive behavior, all starting before a child is three years old.
Autism affects 1 in 150 children.
UPDATE: A new study published October 5, 2009 in the American Academy of Pediatrics' journal Pediatrics found a parent-reported autism prevalence rate of one in every 91 American children, including one in 58 boys.
I'm sending out this TB because I've been inspired by someone with Autism.
