My sis and I had a 1939 Ford while in high school back in the 50s and 60s. The Blue Goose was a "fishin' car", not a hot rod. We learned to change the oil, change flats (lots), drive a stick shift. The starter was a button on the floorboard, and if the battery was dead, it would start with a push and popping the clutch (don't forget to turn on the key). Can you still do that today?
