Fast Fowler and Dragster Daffy are in a race to determine which one of them can accumulate the most miles in the shortest period of time. Fowler would especially like to visit some vineyards and do some wine tasting on the way, but that is only a secondary goal. Both bugs are commencing their journey at the Girly Girl cache on 6/21/03 in San Carlos, California. Please give Fast Fowler preferential treatment. Daffy is lazy and likes to rest a lot. Keep him at home as he likes to watch lots of TV and DVDs.
UPDATE: As of June 10, 2018, Fast Fowler has traveled nearly 14,000 miles and is still on the move, thanks to some fantastic Geocachers.
As of 6/21/05 Fast Fowler is over 1,500 miles ahead of the "Dragster Daffy." This is how it should be. If he ends up back in the San Francisco Bay area, he may be retrieved by his owner and put into retirement, after being declared the winner of the Great Race. As of 7/9/06 Fast Fowler continues his quest. He has visited the Bay Area and has decided to hit the road again. Dragster Daffy seems to have been kidnapped by terrorists and is nowhere to be found. Perhaps Fast Fowler will return, in a year or so, to the Bay Area to finally take a break. Maybe he'll write a book about his adventures on the road.
