(Vgl. The legend

According to the legend, EXCALIBUR gave its owner superhuman power. Its scabbard made anyone who wore on, inviolable. The first sword of Arthur was made by Merlin, the last druid upon the planet, being put through a stone and into an anvil. Only the true ruler could pull it out. After numerous prominent and noble knights in had failed Artus came, son of the english King Uther Pendragon, to the stone. The wizard Merlin showed Artus the stone and enabled him to try pulling out the sword, what Arthur also succeeded and made him the legitimate king. After king Artus smashed the sword from the stone in a battle, the mistress of the lake handed the sword EXCALIBUR to the young king, in order to protect his kingdom. The scabbard of Excalibur ensured that King Artus lost with the worst wounds no blood, but his half-sister LeFay robbed the scabbrad with a craft and so Arthur could be at risk by injuries, but at least he had already EXCALIBUR. After Arthur died in a battle against Mordred, Excalibur was threw into a sea, before he arrived in Avalon. According to the legend EXCALIBUR still rest there.

We picked up this coin thinking it was on its way back to Germany but we see that it needs to go south and we will just be heading north so will try to drop it somewhere busy so that it has a chance to go south. Found it on a fantastic walk though.

Because the Excalibur coin is intended to "travel" to the UK we left it in the cache (A Day on the Bay - GC2BYJC). Hopefully a British geocacher visiting Ibiza will pick up the coin.
