250 GEOCACHES ON A 250CC AT 250 KM/H
The number 250 was, until some years ago, an extremely boring number, maybe one of the most boring numbers...because:
- The year 250 started in a tuesday...obviously monday wasn't a day off;
- In that same year, an epidemic of the Plague begins in Egypt and spreads through the Roman Empire..."...bring out your dead!...";
- Invasions here, invasions there, war here war there...boringgggggggggggggggggggg...AH...speaking of fights, in the Holy Bible, the number of men rebelling against Moses, who were swallowed up by a fire was 250 XD;
- AH something interesting?...The earliest Chinese references to a device known as "emperor's south-pointing carriage" date to this period...this would be hilarious for geocaching...
So as you can see this number was NOTHING so, almost running into the oblivion, someone rescued him and now it's one of the most used numbers...like:
- I DID 250 CACHES;
- I love my Honda / Yamaha / Other 250cc;
- Damn speedometer marks 250 km/h but my car never get's there;
- It's cool buying geocaching trade items for € 2,50;
- Pokémon Gold and Silver has 250 creatures to catch YEAHHH;
- by the way, this number in China is considered an insult. As a Mandarin slang term, 250 is an insult meaning "stupid person" or "simpleton". Originally 1000 was a unit of currency called a diao. Ban diao zi literally means half a diao (500 coins), which is a slang term referring to a person who is inadequate in skills or mental abilities. Since modest Chinese scholars may call themselves ban diao zi to humbly deprecate their own expertise, ban diao zi is not necessarily a pejorative term. On the other hand, Er bai wu (250) is half of a ban diao zi and it is an insult.

geomerida - #195; na minha cache 195 cá estava esta moeda... encontramos-a Igreja de Santa Maria dos Olivais (GC3A8CK) aparentemente não está registada por isso aqui deixo o meu registo...250 é o numero que dá dividindo a cilindrada da nossa mota por 4...250 é a velocidade máxima que dei pela primeira vez que andei de mota a serio...250 é o numero de km que gostaria de fazer num fim de semana a pedalar...250 são as maluqueiras que me passaram pela cabeça para escrever aqui alguma coisa de jeito...eheheh
FFaria&MªJoão - No meio de tantos geocachers e depois de subir mais de 250 metros, la nos foi passada em mão pelo luiscri e a geomerida ;)
FFaria&MªJoão - não gostamos de fazer o "visited" dos tb's, mas tinhamos que a trazer para aqui, porque foram 250KM de bicicleta, pena foram as caches da zona serem micros, e sendo assim este TB vai breve para uma cache nacional ;)
