This coin celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America and showcases a few of Scouting’s Treasures: Cub Scouting, Boy Scouts and Venturing. Pass our coins on so others can enjoy logging them and learn about our program. It would also be great to see this coin make it out on the trail, at jamborees/camporees, and maybe even a court of honor.
Treasures of Scouting 100th Anniversary Geocoin Geocaching and Scouting is a natural partnership. We hope our 100th Anniversary coins inspire you – Scout and non-Scout geocachers alike - to share the message of our quality youth program and join in our adventure. Go to Scouting.org for more information on our programs and how you can be involved. Visit our Scout caches: The Treasures of Scouting and the Cache to Eagle Series.
Personal note: I was given this geocoin by my parents who in turn earned/won it by participating in the Buffalo Trace Council (Southern Indiana) caches. It holds a special place in my heart since I started Tiger Cubs just before Scouting's 75th Anniversary, was a Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, and then got my Arrow of Light. I am lucky to have had amazing parents and leaders who helped me continue on through Scout, Tenderfoot, Second Class, First Class, Star, Life, Eagle, four palms, the Order of the Arrow, Explorers and finally on to Alpha Phi Omega. It's been a great journey and I am proud to say, I hope I will always be a Scout!
