Current Goal

The goal of Double Decker is to travel the US and eventually to return to his birthplace, London, England then around the world before returning to Fort Worth, Texas by Christmas 2005.

About This Item

DoubleDecker

Double Decker was first picked up in England in the 1970s. He has traveled in a kid's toybox to such exotic places as Grissom AFB in Indiana, Castle AFB in California and Carswell AFB in Texas. Unfortunately, he didn't see any of these places because he was always in the toybox. Please take pictures of this bug so his 'owner' can enjoy the travels even if it is vicariously.

I also brought a travel bug with me to drop at this cache; in an amazing coincidence, the one I brought with me, (Moo-Ver) came from the same last site as this one!!! "AJ's Birthplace" at 100+ miles away in Waxhaw, was the same last place for both travel bugs! I am taking vacation this week and the bus is headed South!! Way South....!

My nephew stumbled onto this one. It might be a couple of weeks before I can drop it off. I've never been to England but I hope the bus and I both make it before too long.

This bug looks like it has a lot of miles on it, even though it's only been on the road since November.

I'll carry it with me on a business trip into central SC and if there's a cache where it wants to stop, it may stay there. Otherwise I'll give it a ride somewhere interesting.

I found this TB a week ago in Sam & Kim's Diamond in the Ruff Cache near Savannah, GA. I waited a week to log it to give the last person a chance to drop it off in the cache.
I'll be leaving it in a TB Hotel soon.
