This is the third coin in my New Mexico Geocoin series. It's dedicated to Bandelier National Monument in Northcentral New Mexico. Bandelier belongs to the National Park system of the United States, the same system that manages Yosemite, the Grand Canyon, Bryce and Zion, etc. It is most well known for the ancient and mysterious Pueblo Indian ruins which are protected within the park boundaries. However, there are also many miles of wilderness trails across this semi-arid, but breathtaking landscape.
It is places such as Bandelier which give New Mexico it's reputation as the "Land of Enchantment".
