Current Goal

The Jolly Giraf would like to travel back to Belgium and receive some nice pictures while 'on the road'.

When Belgium is reached, the environment of Mechelen or Antwerp would be so nice to visit.

Under the veal of the night I found a shining star - The Sun!

In spite of its bright light The Sun was not able to heat up the very first cold night of this winter. This night the "global warming" could not show its teeth as cold was biting down to the bones. So I quickly grabbed the "Search & Rescue" TB tool and dropped the TB Jolly Giraffe to enjoy the Belgium Sun she was longing for so long.

Happy travel my little fellow. 🙂

I took Jolly Giraf to Belgium and I wanted to drop it in "EU in Brussels" cache. Unfortunately the cache, which is next to Berlaymont was blocked by Police. Some EU stuff was going on so I could not reach the cache. Thus I'll bring it to Belgium few weeks from now.

In between I also had to do a small operation. The Jolly Giraf lost his head for second time. I do not know when it happened before but the first "surgery" with glue did not hold up. A more radical approach has been needed. You can see the story in the pictures.

  • Jolly Giraf lost his head
  • "Geocache Inspector" is inspecting damage TB Geocache Inspector (TBQ658) is inspecting what can happen to TBs’ during the dangerous TB travels. He’ll try to help and certainly he will put this experience in his report for Commission.
  • Process of surgery We have been using some "military grade" hardware to drill support for a neck before glueing it.
  • Another view on neck support
  • Jolly Giraf after surgery The head is on its place. Some strong glue and support will hopefully hold it in place. Good luck in your travels Jolly Giraf!

So I found this little Giraffe waiting patiently to go to Belgium. I'll take it there; however before going there it has to do a "small" side jump for a week or so to Slovenia. I'll virtually drop her to a cache in Slovenia just to recognize that it made that side step.
