AMTG Hala Suevorum GC 1

Mid size coin with heft. Unusual shape and contains 4 pass throughs. The number is on the edge of the coin. This is a problem if the coin is in the wild because there is a small smooth area that looks like a tracking number should be there. A cacher might mistake it for a non-trackable. One side has excellent 3-D work of a church that is raised and the background has excellent texture with depressed glossy black enamel. The individual bricks on the church are viable as is the tree branches. It says "Hala Suevorum". The rim work has raised metal designs against black enamel. The other side has slight 3-D work and red, light grey, dark grey and black enamel. The scene is of a castle and below it is a "coat of arms". The work on this coin is one of the best I have seen for mixing simple enamel colors. The use of black and dark grey make a shading effect that is elegant. This, combined with the 3-D work, make it one of the best design and workmanship coins I have seen. It seems simple then it reveals the wonderful details that have been put into it. Euro coin. Excellent coin. ----------------------------------------So many of my GCs have been muggled that I only release new ones as virtuals. Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.
