Current Goal

This (ex) coyote's mission is to travel from cache to cache. If you retrieve it, please do not keep it. It is meant to travel and perhaps startle a few cachers along the way. Due to its size, it is obviously best suited for large caches and events.

About This Item

Canis latrans

Some years ago I found "Alas, Poor Yorik!" in a cache. I thought it was a cool TB and have sought to release a few unique, natural TBs since then. I once found a decaying coyote by the side of the road and was struck by its mouth and teeth. No, this one is not the one I found by the road; its a purchased skull that has been professionally cleaned. This one doesn't have the good dentition of the one I found by the road either.

As coyotes have become ubiquitous, even in urban environments, the chances of seeing or hearing them when caching are fairly good. I've occasionally come across coyote scat when caching, but haven't spotted one on a cache run. Though, I have noticed them here and there at other times.

Please help me share this TB with lots of cachers by moving it quickly to a new, suitable cache. Pictures of it along the trail would also be appreciated. I've attached it to one of my Geotags. Please log this travelbug when you find it and don't forget to mark it as dropped when it goes back into a cache.

If you bring it to an event, feel free to show it around for others to discover. But please, make sure that it leaves with another responsible cacher.
