Well it was a very interesting journey to grab this Geocoin. The field before you get to the hill where the Geocache is located is always wet because the water drains there year round, but in the winter it becomes ice, snow, and frozen mud. The trick is determining which parts of the ice don't have water underneath them so that when it breaks you don't plunge your foot into freezing cold water. It isn't too deep, but it is deep enough in some places to go up to your ankle, so that wouldn't kill you, but it wouldn't be fun either! 💀 Got the coin nice and safely back to my vehicle and I have two places in mind to release it here in Beavercreek, OH. One is a veterans memorial we have here for all the branches of the armed forces and the names of locals who have fought for the United States over the decades. The other one is a 9/11 memorial that we have here with a piece of a metal beam from the World Trade Centers as its centerpiece to remember the people who died on 9/11 and those who died fighting in the wars following 9/11. I've found them both, but it would be easy for me to stop by seeing as they are on my way to just about anywhere I need to go, and it is a good cause too. 🙂 Not sure which one it will be, but if the owner has a preference then just post a note or shoot me an email and let me know 😁
