Current Goal

Being a duck, I LOVE the water!!!! My goal is to visit as many bodies of water as possible. Oceans, lakes, streams, rivers, fountains, etc. I don't care where they are or what kind of water it is, I just want to visit. But please, please, pretty please take my picture while I am there! I want Mariah to see all the places I have been.

Herbert the Duck

The story begins. . ."Once upon a time, there was a little girl named, Mariah. and Mariah had a very best-est, best-est friend in the whole entire wide world. His name was Herbert, but Herbert was no ordinary friend because Herbert was (dramatic pause). . .a DUCK!" Herbert the Duck came from a series of bedtime stories I made up for my two sons. No matter what adventure Mariah and Herbert are taking, the story always begins the same. These stories have gotten us through some pretty tough situations. For example, the 1st day of school, 1st trip to the eye doctor, 1st trip to the dentist, a tonsillectomy, and many, many others. There are even times when Herbert and Mariah simply "hang out" together. So you see. . .they REALLY are "the very best-est, best-est friends in the whole entire wide world".

We placed Herbert in a new listing called International Exchange. He is in a beautiful, wooded area with lots of birds around.

Herbert has had quite an adventure. First, he got to fly to LA. He then boarded a plane and headed to Frankfurt, Germany. After landing in Franfurt, he immediately boarded a train and went to Mainz, Germany where he had lovely views of the Rhine River. The next day he took a cruise along the river and saw many castles and small villages. He didn't find any caches that he wanted to stay in~those other travel bugs could only speak German and he thought that would be very tiresome to not be able to talk to the other travel bugs. So, Herbert flew back the the US. He spent the night in Washington, D.C. and then flew to Colorado. He's going to look for a nice comfy cache today in Parker, Colorado.
