I certainly don't want to turn into stone, so I am definitely logging a "discovered it" on this coin, although a "grabbed it from somewhere else" would be a more accurate log; as that isn't one of the choices I have at my disposal, a discovery will have to do.
I am setting the date of the "discovery" to the date the coin actually came into my possession (so, I am a smidgen doubtful that it was "recently spotted in the hands of the owner", as there have been no discoveries on it since it attended an event in 2013).
I picked the coin up at the end of a Community Celebration Event. It was one of the items in the prizes basket, so I assumed it was an unactivated coin and selected it for my prize. I took it home and put it aside for a later time. Today a couple of geo tour coins arrived in the mail (always a good day when you get heavy mail from both Haldimand county and PC Parka :) ) so I decided I would gather my unactivated coins and get busy activating. When I went to activate this coin I was surprised to find it was already activated. I then figured it must have been mistakenly placed with the prizes, so I proceeded to read further to figure out what the coin's travelling goals were. As it lacks goals, I will make arrangements to return it to "the hands of the owner" as it seems to be AWOL... poor thing ;)
