Current Goal

To end up in the same cache together with my three brothers, somewhere around San Luis Obispo, California, by the summer of 2004.

About This Item

Bowtie

Hello! I am Bowtie, one of The Georgia Raisins. My brothers and I got separated after a hard night's gig in Atlanta, and now we are traveling across our great land to reunite in the California wine country. Our goal is to end up in the same cache together, somewhere around San Luis Obispo, by the summer of 2004. And once we are all together out there, our sponsor is hoping to drive out and take us back to Georgia, along with some fine California wines! So please help me get out there, so I can find my brothers (The Georgia Raisins - Bug Eye, The Georgia Raisins - Sax Man, and The Georgia Raisins - Shades) and visit my California cousins!

P.S. - Would it be too much to ask if you would take my picture and post it with your entry, so my brothers can sign on and see where my travels are taking me?

Bowtie was placed in a cache not too far from Washington, DC. Since I had driven up to view President Reagan's casket in the rotunda, I decided to pick him up on my way out of town. This was quite a challenge, as he was in a "night-only" cache, and it was pouring rain. Bowtie did a lot of traveling since he and his three brothers were launched early last year. He actually made it out to San Diego, and then back to the East Coast. One of his brothers is in California now, and, unfortunately, the other two are missing and presumed eaten (hopefully they will turn up later). I wanted to grab Bowtie before he disappeared also and retire him from his long journey, as I don't think I'll get out to San Luis Obispo this summer.
Many thanks to all the cachers who moved Bowtie along his merry way!!

Boy Bowtie got some troubles! I found him today unposted in Auburn Staircase, in Auburn, NH! I see this poor guy's already made it to southern CA once, and he's been MIA for a long time. Looks like the previous holder was visiting NH from IL and didn't quite understand the whole TB thing. In any case, he's back on line now, but a LONG way from San Luis Obispo (I live in Eastern MA). I'll get him going quickly, but the good cachers out there will have to but Bowtie in high gear to get him to CA this summer!!!! -Bill the Sox Fan
