The kids and I dropped my wife off at the Sacramento Airport for her work trip. We live in North Highlands near McClellan, some 15-20 miles away, so the kids and I decided to take the long way home and grab some caches along the way. When I say “the long way”, I mean the LOOOOOOOOONNNGGG way. The drive took 7 hours due the detour and stopping for caches along the way. Leaving the airport taking I-5 to the river, getting off and continuing along Hwy 22 into Woodland, where we had lunch. From there we hopped on Hwy 113 through Knight’s Landing until we came to Everglade Rd and wormed our way over to Hwy 99 for the return trip. This was the main route but there were many, and I mean many, side trips onto rural roads in the pursuit of various caches. Thanks to Retiredprof for so many caches that made this trip such a success, 37 finds, a personal best and NO DNFs!! Found a few recently solved puzzle caches too. The kids will sleep well tonight!! Oh yea, me too. Picked up this TB along the way.
