About This Item

1

Large coin with heft.  Unusual shape in that it has a pin that fits in the coin.  The front has a design of several GC newsletteres.  There is a rainbow to the right that holds the pin.  The rim scrip says 3652 Tage 87,648 Stunden 5,258,880 Minuten 315,532,800 Sekunden.  The reverse is done in white matte enamel for the medallion.  It lists vaarious names.  The black rim has script that reads uber 170,000 deutsche Cachers in 10Jahren.  Wir geben unser Bestes! Die Reviewer!.  Very unusual coin. ------Info by *B'Ella* The front: The rim scrip says "3652 Tage 87,648 Stunden 5,258,880 Minuten 315,532,800 Sekunden.", that is 3652 days, 87.648 hours, 5.258.880 minutes, 315.532.800 seconds. I guess that is the time gone by since Geocaching came to Germany (the lowest of the newspapers: GC77 first Geocache in Germany - Oct 2nd, 2000). The other newspapers are announcing other highlights in german geocaching history: (from down to up) April 19th 2004: First Reveiewer in Germany - Sept 2nd 2007: Groundspeak visits Germany - Aug 3rd 2009: 20 Reviewers working in Germany - May 3rd 2009: 10 Yeras of Geocaching". The "rainbow" is striped in the colours of the german flag, and under the signal-pin you can find the former website of the german reviewers: www.die-reviewer.info(note: this website is no longer available). The reverse: The green point in the center is symbolizing the publish-button. 20 computer-mouses are gathered around to click on that green button. The names behind the computermouses are the names of the 20 german reviewers that were active in 2009. The rim script says: Over 170.000 german geocaches (not Cachers!) in 10 Years. We give our very best! The Reviewers Of that silver edition only 360 pieces were made.
Thanks for sharing this one with me!-------So many of my trackable have been muggled that I only release new GCs as virtuals.  If you do not approve, please leave it for the next cacher that understands.  Thanks.  LL

Thanks to the 2023 Christmas Day blizzard my daughter, JMVonFange, was delayed in heading home so we spent the bonus time together comparing our caching statistics including trackables discovered and looking through our geocaching pictures. JM has discovered significantly more trackables that I have mainly because while we were staying home during the pandemic she spent time online and spotted numerous TBs that were being shared virtually on various social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, etc. Thankfully, she still had a few notes that helped guide my search for the same trackables that she had already discovered. After looking at the TB page for each of the TBs that she had discovered, I found that a large number all belonged to several individuals and sent a message to them individually inquiring about permission to log their trackables. This travel bug was on the list that you shared with me.

What an exceptionally large, but especially beautiful collection of coins and travel bugs are in this life work / project

I admire the work of making copies of it and sending them around

You gave me the idea: I also made this week a copy of 10 coins to let them travel in the coming weeks

Very nice specimens and interesting pages
