As I type the song in my head is "Nothin' could be finer than to be in Carolin-er..." Cool to hear that our name will appear on this unique TB and really cool to meet Ozguff at the NC DeLorme Challenge final in the beautiful, diverse state of North Carolina. So fine!!

I had this in my hands earlier today after completing the challenge and meeting up with OzGuff for a photo op. So happy to be part of the small group who have found this cache and discovered this travel bug.

Great fun to be able to discover the Holy Grail of NC Geocaching. OzGuff strongly discouraged me from grabbing it.

Finally discovered on a return trip to the Land of OzGuff. I had been wanting to see this for a while... and sure enough, my name was listed on the plaque! 😁 I consider this a great honor to be listed on the plaque for the accomplishment of finding the NC DeLorme Challenge. Thanks OzGuff for making the special short trip to meet me at a couple of caches that I couldn't find so I could discover the TB. Thanks also for the warning about gasoline in the area as it proved a challenge to find later the next day.

It looks like my wish was granted when I logged the DeLorme Challenge -- I asked if we could do it again. Shortly after that, the NC County Challenge was published and that's what brought me to the area again. NC is a great state to live in and I'm proud to call it my home. There's a lot to see in the state and I've seen a lot of it due to geocaching and these Challenges. [i]And yet there's so much more I still haven't seen... Ahhh...[/i]

I was not able to meet c3 when he completed the NC DeLorme Challenge so did not have a photo of him with the plaque. He drove through the area today so we were able to meet for the photo op. But for some reason he wanted to keep the photo already on the challenge page so I just thought I would load one here to prove that the plaque and he had met.

It was nice to talk with him (and his chauffeur)!
