Current Goal

To raise awareness of the profession of land surveying in British Columbia by having geocoins placed in caches across the province and circulating around the world.

Coins placed by members of the land surveying community in BC will participate in a contest to see how far each coin travels, with a prize for the person whose coin travels the farthest by Feb 28, 2011.

About This Item

This is no ordinary geocaching trading item! The British Columbia Association of Land Surveyors (BCLS) Geocoin travels from Geocache to Geocache on a very specific mission. If you do not intend to log your visit onto the geocaching.com web site, please DO NOT TAKE THIS ITEM. Its travels and progress require you to log that it is being taken from this geocache. You will also need to log when you place it in another geocache. It's easy!
If you are willing to log your part of the journey of this item and place it in another geocache as soon as possible (after you log your find), grab it from this geocache.
My Current Goal:
This coin would like to travel around as broadly as possible to raise awareness of the profession of land surveying in the Province of BC, Canada. A contest is being held to determine the BCLS geocoin that has travelled the farthest by Feb 28, 2011.
