Woo hoo! Our first travel bug!! We picked up Purple Lurple at the Scenic High Falls in Wawa, on our way to Camp Localsh / Localsh Island for a week of fishing. Just got to the island (where they have an internet connection!) to log our find. We are on beautiful Wabatongushi Lake in one of the Provincial parks. I have a couple of pictures of Purple Lurple enjoying the sites here, but will have to download them when we get home on Monday. We have seen our first moose here, saw a mom and baby black bear, and have seen a lot of different birds (bald eagles, different types of ducks, and our first real life look at loons). What a beautiful country! We had a talk with Purple Lurple, and he wants to visit the Canadian Tropics. So next we will head back down through Michigan, and will leave Purple Lurple at the Southern-most point of Canada - Point Pelee. This is where many migrating birds gather before their trek across Lake Erie. It also gets huge numbers of migrating monarch butterflies on their trip south for the winter. Hopefully someone will be able to take Purple Lurple further away from Michigan after he gets there! - The SnouterOuter duo.
