About This Item

Bert getting ready for his bug adventure

Budgerigars are a small parrot, measuring just 18 cm. The Budgerigar is a native of the drier parts of Australia and is found in the wild in great numbers and now adopted world-wide as the most popular pet bird. They form large flocks, numbering occasionally in the tens of thousands, after a season of abundant rainfall and food. Flocks are usually much smaller, however, and range from as few as three birds up to 100 or more. Birds in a flock fly in a characteristic undulating manner. The contact call is a warbling "chirrup"; "zit" is given in alarm.

I've been to many places where a TB was supposed to be ... but there was nothing. So I think it's good to say every now and then what's there. So just to confirm that the parrot is dry, and in perfect state. It's not the most exciting area of West Vlaanderen, but I'm sure this is just a stop-over, isn't it? ;-)
