Current Goal

On May 18th, 1980 at 8:32 a.m. Mount Saint Helens erupted with a force greater than that of an atomic bomb. Fifty-seven people and millions of animals were killed and the blast cost well over a billion dollars in damages to the surrounding area. In the spring of 2010, Avery, a kindergarten student from North Carolina, checked out a book about volcanoes from her school library. Since then, she has been fascinated with volcanoes. Since it is unlikely that we will make it to Mount Saint Helens any time soon, we decided to send out a travel bug to explore for us. He wants to travel to Mount Saint Helens (pictures along the way would be nice), have his picture taken with the mountain, and then return to A & Z's Trail of the Trees in Asheville, NC (GC3E1JW). Thanks for your help!

We were excited to here about the desire of Adiggitydog Travel Bug's desire. We now live in AZ but lived in Washington for 3 years some time ago. We've been to the caves around St. Helens as well as hiked around the visitor center. It is a spectacular site. Hope that you make it there some day. We are going to California next week and we will drop it off as far north as possible. Somewhere on Highway 5 so hopefully someone traveling north will take it with them. Best wishes.

Saw this one in the listed cache. I was out near Mt St Helens this past May but I am not heading that way anytime soon so I left it for someone else. bpp_picnic
