OK, so the Goal of this cache is to visit caches near water in Australia...well it's a little off course, but it did visit water caches in Florida last month and now it's on an island on a frozen pond in Massachusetts, hopefully someone can help it get back across the Big Pond.

    • Florida Keys Warmed up a bit down here, forgot to drop this one off, back to the cold of New England.

Today is the last opportunity to get away before the MRS Fall 2012 meeting starts, at which Symposium VV takes place on Advanced Materials Exploration with Neutrons and Synchrotron X-Rays. So I took the subway to Revere Beach, walking my way out to here, between houses on the hill, along the little beach. Good to smell the ocean - I missed it already, the two weeks away from it. The sands look different then in Stanwell Park, and also, no big waves - lot's of headlands and islands. A fresh breeze from the ocean. In the Libyan shops, near the railway station, I found real food, and real coffee. But first to the cache: yes, indeed, pretty difficult, as 10, 15m off! Everyone first looks into the nearby bushland area, and then recognizes the easy stash under the Bridge. Still there, since so inaccurate, one looks in large radii. Found it, went to the other end of the bridge to sit down and drop the travel bugs. As I finished, I realized, my camera bag was gone. Searched everywhere, back to the beach, and finally found it here nearby, well hidden in the bushland. Good fun, time to head back before the early winter evening falls in, thanks for the big cache, TFTCM!

Black Friday, I eventually got out again, after arriving yesterday from Europe. It was only a short Flight from Frankfurt, seven hours or so, just half the time you need from Los Angeles to Sydney! Strolled around through the shops, to find some specials. Actually, I did find two fantastic knives - sharp to split a hair, good for bush camping in the Australian summertime, upcoming now! Clothes, however, were deer, so I did not buy anything here, wait next week, and better seek this city nano cache. Muggles sitting on the other bench, I was lucky the present one was free to do my business. TFTCM!

True: This conglomerate is different! I have seen many, like Nagelfluh in the European pre-Alps, where the pebbles somehow would come off the cement rather than crack into two pieces upon fracture. Also the igneous rock character in the pebbles, their variety is unique. Through this Earthcache I looked to the many different rocks asked for in the questions. I think, I got it wrong on my first try, but looks like the cache owner tolerated it! Anyway, every day this week, I looked more and more to this and other churches, with open eyes, and successively I refined the puzzle, making more and more sense by discovering new minerals in the architecture. I come here for years, after every thanksgiving, but I did not know about the Back Bay! Interesting history, interesting geoshaping! What's where the landfill came from? Removing mountains is criminal - as I like mountains, not flat land! Seems, Boston has been well developed, and if I look further into the near and farther, rich in all kinds of rocks used in the architecture. Much appreciated... thanks for pointing out the details of the pudding stone, foragess, well done. Thanks also for placing an Earthcache here - my preferred type of cache, and new since last year! TFTCM!
