The original goal was to help the Rapakivi Brothers to the Baltic Sea region. Since Pim has achieved his goal, his current goal it to travel back to the Netherlands to report to his owners about his adventures.
The granite Rapakivi Brothers,
Pim and
Pom,
have been around for millions of years. Recently, in the Saalien ice-age (about
150,000 years ago), they left their ancestral home and moved with the ice to
the Netherlands. Once the ice melted, the brothers were stuck in the
Steenwijker Kamp, in the Dutch province of Overijssel. They were picked up by
us, and we decided to present them with a holiday. Or rather, you're going to
help Pim or Pom along towards their holiday destination: a cache in their
homeland, the Baltic Sea region. Click

for a map.
The Rapakivi brothers have enjoyed each other's company for a long long
time, and it is essential that they travel separately from each other. They may
end up in the same cache at the holiday destination, but they'd rather not be
together in the same cache on the way to avoid confusion or worse.
When Pim and Pom have spent some time in the North, they would like to be
taken back to the Netherlands, specifically to the
Steenwieker
Kaampe cache where they'll report to their owners. After that, a new travel
destination will be revealed.
IMPORTANT UPDATE:
To our great dismay, Pom seems to have vanished in the Baltic Area. We moved him to the Dutch TB burial ground at Rottumerplaat. His brother Pim will have to continue its journey alone. Since Pim has reached the Baltic Area and visited it extensively, he is now allowed to come home, back to the cache where he has started his big adventure. We therefore ask the next finders to help Pim to travel back to the Netherlands.
PIM
De granieten Rapakivi Broers,
Pim en
Pom,
Pim is alleen verder gereisd.

I took Pim with me to the Earth Sciences Center in Göteborg where we listend to a disputation. After that we visited some small pieces of Bohus granite (normally used by students at their introduction course) and then a larger sculpture of this granite just outside the building. Finally I found a great place with a nice view over Göteborg for Pim.

Got Pim from emzett at the event "Cachers, TBs and beers" in Gothenburg. As a geologist I just had to have this bug. Will try to let Pim meet some swedish granite and find a niece cache for him here.
