Current Goal

To move farther than that lame "CCC Inkwell" TB (3E6M4), spreading the word of Parker Dam's historic lumbering beginnings.  I mean, the park is called "Parker Dam" because William Parker was the lumber boss in charge of operating the splash dam at this site.  That should be reason enough for geocachers to carry me further than some random piece of glass.

About This Item

A broken grab (hook) once used to skid timbered logs out of the forest.  The grab was driven into the near end of a log and attached to a team of horses, sometimes oxen, to be pulled to a log landing near a river or stream, or splash dam.  The era that this happened at Parker Dam State Park was from the late 1860's to 1888.  Splash dams and river drives marked this time period at Parker Dam (once a splash dam).

Well, I can see we are late to the party as you wanted to beat the inkwell TB by having more miles by September 2018, and this is nine months later. However, that "random piece of glass" has about twice as many miles as you right now, but we'll help you show that little inkwell how to travel far!!! Come along with us!
