Current Goal

Did you know that in 1977 Connecticut legislatures adopted the praying mantis as "The State Insect".

If you could adopt something for your state what would it be and why?

About This Item

Please take this coin to another cache, so other cachers can adopt something for their state. Thanks, The Ax

I think if the Upper Peninsula of Michigan could adopt something for our state, it would be the mosquito and not the praying mantis! But lucky for us, it's a little late for mosquito season. Will see if I can get this coin to another state during my travels this month.

Nice coin, saw it was a coin for thousandth find and thought that is neat we just had 1000 finds this weekend. I has not been to Michigan, well it will be now,

If I could adopt something, lets adopt the honeybee. They have had a dramatic die off from a disease and it is affecting flowering plants, we need honeybees.

Very nice coin. We'd adopt black bears. There are many all around the area we live in.
