This is a Half_a_crown it was worth "Two and Six" - Two Shillings and Six Pennys. The half crown was a denomination of British money worth two shillings and sixpence, being one-eighth of a pound and half of a crown. The half crown was first issued in 1549, in the reign of Edward VI.This is another coin from pre decimalisation Britain. This coin was minted in the rign of King George 6th and is dated 1946.
