For a while summer festivals went out of vogue. But they are back again with events such as the V Festival among others joining Glastonbury. But one that has been going for a long time, and battled through thick and thin for over 35 years, is Greenbelt. Greenbelt is different, it isn't just a music festival, and it isn't just an arts festival. It brings these things together, with a Christian tradition in the background but tolerance and dialogue forming the mainstay.
I have worked at Greenbelt for longer than I can remember. I now jointly run the Support Team, who work between 1800hrs and 0300hrs to keep the site safe and running smoothly. We have fun while doing an essential job.
This TB is my wristband from 2009. Then it got me anywhere and everywhere on site, but I'm afraid it won't get you anywhere as the bands change every year! But think about coming, joining over 20000 others for a fun August Bank holiday. And if you come then ask anyone with a radio for "Merlin", I'd love to meet you.
