This travel bug would like to go to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney Australia. Students in a classroom will be tracking his movements in their Geography class. They would love to hear all about the different people who find him.
Darwin was named by a group of students at Centers of Learning, a private school in Los Angeles. He is named after two things. First is Darwin the man. The founder of modern Biology. The second reason is for the city named Darwin in Australia. These students have big dreams and would love to travel the world themselves some day. For now they are excited to track their little bug and learn about every place that he visits. Jun 2008 Darwin appears to have gone off the grid. Students and Teacher thank all who helped him travel over 20000 miles on his journey around the world. May he rest in peace!!!!

Sorry I didn't see this TB when we visited Illawarra's Folly as I live in Wollongong - only 100km from Taronga Zoo. From memory and the pictures he looks too big for the container so maybe he was hiding close by.

Thanks to all who have helped Darwin travel the world. He has been watched for a long time. he was originally released in 2003 by a group of 9th graders. They have watched the bugs progress throughout their entire highschool experience. They were very excited to see all the places he has been and they are hoping to visit many when they go out into the world and start their own explorations. We got very excited when he reached Tasmania, because we thought he was so close to reaching his goal. Can someone help him on the final leg. These students graduate tomorrow, but they will continue to watch his progress on their own. Also new students are watching and learning from all of his travels.
