Geo Dakoter or Geo Mobile Jeep which one did you see??? The Geo Dakoter is retired from daily driver status, but she took me all over for years, and I would trust her anywhere, any road, any time, to get me where I need to be. The Geo Toyoter, was my daily driver, but was replaced in early 2016 with the Geo Jeep.
Most of the time we take our minivan Tiny caching or to events, but upon occasion, one of the rare geo trucks will be seen at an event or out caching. Otherwise the rare geo truck, or Jeep can be seen out on the road.
The Geo Dakoter is a Red and Grey 1992 Dodge Dakota that sometimes has a black canopy on the bed or sometimes a tall wood stake side rack. I got this truck for free several years ago from someone that I knew who was moving out of town. I have known this truck since it had about 90,000 miles on it, today it has about 330,000, orginal engine and transmission, I know your thinking, yea right 330,000 miles on a Dakota with no major work is impossible, but it is possible and true. Since January 2011 the Geo Dakoter is retired from daily driver status, but still comes out upon occasion. On 9-17-2011, she could be seen towing our tear drop trailer over the North Cascades pass, and doing all the ruff off roads of the Methow Valley cache machine. She maybe old, but I would trust her to take me anywhere I need to go.
The Geo Toyoter was a silver 1992 Toyota pickup that sometimes has a silver canopy on the bed. Sadly this truck was totalled on Highway 202 in the fall of 2015. I stopped, the person behind me hit me full fource smashing the bed and twisting the frame. It's to bad, this truck was bought new by my Grandfather, so it had special meaning which is why I'm sharing this even though it is no more. It had less than 100K on it.
In the winter of 2016 I needed to replace the Toyoter, and we had long talked about a 4X4 something we could drive on the beach or take up on the mountain roads caching. Finally after months of searching we found it. It's a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It's my daily driver, as well as the beach and mountain rig. And may occasionally be seen at a caching event or out caching.
