Screech Dude and his friend Linkie are in a friendly competition to see who can learn about more places and send the information to Live Oak 2nd Grade in San Francisco. Even though those 2nd graders have moved on, they want to continue traveling and seeing the world. Help Screech Dude by sending him to as many cool caches in the world as possible.
Screech Dude says:
When you log your find, tell my friends about the places I am going. If you can, take my picture and share interesting information about where I am. Please don't keep me too long in one place. We Ambassadors need to keep on the move!
Screech Dude began his journey with his friend Linkie (http://www.geocaching.com/track/track_detail.asp?ID=3096) in San Francisco. They were part of a 2nd grade project where, as Ambassadors, they travel around with human companions and send 'postcards' from the places they visit.
The kids kept track of their progress and learned about different places in the world. Then Screech Dude's friend Linkie figured he could see even more interesting places by becoming a travel bug, so Screech Dude wanted to too! Please try to get this guy to unusual spots and keep him moving about.

Wow! Screech Dude is finally home. He has travelled 11,465 miles and visited a lot of great places. Thank you to all you great geocachers who helped him on his way and helped him get back home. He had a great trip and educated a lot of kids at the same time.

Well when we picked up Screech Dude we didn't know that he had been left for his original owner to pick-up. The log only indicted that he had been returned to the cache where he started. And now he's in Tucson!

I am SOOOO thrilled that Screech Dude is finally
home... I have been watching his travels since this summer and I am so impressed by all his miles he has accumulated in such a short time...
and the fact that he has made it back to his original cache and is still in one piece is AMAZING!
Thanks Screech for being a part of my life this summer.
WELCOME HOME!

Ohhhhhh! Screech Dude is back in Phoenix. After 1 1/2 years and 11,500 miles he's finally home. I'd like to have him move down to the Ahwatukee/Chandler area so I can pick him up and possibly retire him. I want to show him to my son's 4th grade class. They are thinking of launching a Travel Bug, along the lines of Screech Dude's mission. So, if you get Screechie, please move him south, towards the East Valley. Thanks! Jeanene - Team Javamobo

Well I wrestled this one out of Foxglove's hands today and she only teared up a little as she said goodbye to her constant geocaching partner for the last little while. I did not remember til just now that Screechdude was the reason that Foxgloves and I were introduced. She sent me an email reminding me of the TB rules because I had grabbed him on a Friday afternoon and not logged him til Sunday afternoon. She was mad cause she drove to that cache specifically to grab him and he wasnt there. Oh well, she got over it. I will bring him most of the way home next week.
