About This Item

The Quiz

Most people think of politics as linear: left vs right, democrat vs republican, liberal vs conservative. This is simply inadequate and incomplete. This quiz, the World's Smallest Political Quiz, provides two dimensions. These are (1) 'economic' issues, and (2) 'social' issues. The quiz is designed to help you better understand your political beliefs in 2 dimensions. After taking the quiz, post your score when you log this TB. I bet that most geocachers, like most Americans, are freedom loving folks!

There are over 25 “World’s Smallest Political Quiz” travel bugs, each one named after a different person for their contribution to freedom.  I certainly have learned a lot researching this topic and these people!

This TB is named after Walter E Williams, economist, syndicated columnist, author, and libertarian.  He is a fierce proponent of free market economics and opponent of socialist government interventions.  Walter believes that lassez-faire capitalism is the most moral, productive political-economic system.  His books include The State Against Blacks, and More Liberty Means Less Government--Our Founders Knew This Well.  He is a Professor of Economics at George Mason University.
