Up early on this Wednesday morning, our last in DC. Fling open the hotel curtains! WHAT!?! The sun is out and shining bright. Run, Q, run! Let's GO CACHING! How many can we find before we have to catch our plane!!!!

Let's go. So we charge on up to the White House for amazing gorgeous shots. Since the sun is out, the protestors are too. Oh well. Cache Cop has secured the area, turned it over to the Secret Service. We surveyed the damage to the old oak that fell during the storm, such a watse of a lovely tree.

Round the back, hurry to find the cache. Well it 'twasn't hard to spot. Didn't realize the US had it's own National Christmas Tree. Calvin Coolidge stood on this spot to light it for the first time in 1923! Cache Cop reminds Agent Q that if we want to cache and catch our plane, we better shake a leg. Of course, we have photos!

Cache Cop and Agent Q stopped to acknowledge the freedom's that have been given us in this fabulous country of ours.

We are wandering the Freedom Plaza and in the rain we are adventurous to try and get back to the White House again before it rains.

Along the way Cache Cop discovers the Department of Treasury, checks it out, all secure sir!

What's this? What do you mean Pennsylvania Avenue is closed? Secret Service telling us it will be awhile before it reopens. So, back up New York Avenue toward the hotel. It's beginning to rain, yet again. Up goes the umbrella, what do we spy? Washington D.C. police force is closing all intersections up New York Avenue. So, at the NY Ave Presbyterian Church, Agent Q decides to just sit down and wait. Something BIG is about to happen.

Stand up, salute and wave! It's none other than our COMMANDER IN CHIEF and his wonderful motorcade! YES SIR, the city is safe for you to travel! Pictures, we need pictures! No one will believe us without pictures!

  • Department of the Treasury is secure, sir!
  • Hail to the Chief!
  • Presidential Motorcade - SAL-LUTE!

It was a darky and stormy night, I mean really, it was a dark and stormy night. We've left California for a geo-adventure at the Society for Human Resources Conference in Washington DC. Who was to know that DC would be hit with one of it's worst rain storms in history! Flooding every where.

Agent Q was unhappy. She wanted to cache. The rain prevented much outdoor activity, and the humidity, let's just say, she wasn't used to it.

Cache Cop was cool. He protected Agent Q on her recon mission to dodge drops and photo the downtown DC area. We have secured this site. Cache Cop helped with the recon mission and has been duly promoted to Chief Protector of the TB. Onward.......

As I log this wonderful find, Sponge Bob himself, on the television, somehow is making crabby patties WITHOUT pickles! No! Crabby Patties MUST be made with pickles! Cache Cop! Find the pickles. The inhabitants of Bikini Bottom will NOT rest until they are found! We will travel far and wide to find the pickles!

Trojan Travellers beware - we are on a mission - a PICKLE of a mission. May the Dill Be With You! 😛😛😛
