I first stumbled across Shooby-Dooby on 1/1/04, my very first day of geocaching. I didn't really know much about travel bugs yet, so I didn't take it. Later I learned of the goal for this travel bug, and decided I would go back and get it so I could take it to it's journey's end, but alas, I was too late, someone had taken it befor I could get back to it. It left my area, then returned to another local cache, but I missed it again and it started moving further and further away. I've been chasing after this TB for over 10 months now, and then it showed up in a cache in San Jose, while I just happened to be traveling that way for work. I crossed my fingers, hoping upon hope that someone wouldn't beat me to the cache once more.
Shooby-Dooby is now in my possesion, and traveling back to SoCal with me. I hope to have it into "A Shoes Throw Away" by the end of thanksgiving weekend. We'll see what happens.
