I would like to visit caches hidden in forests.
This is a beetle from one of the world's rain forests, probably in PaPua, New Guinea. The local inhabitants raise and collect the iridescent insects, an industry that does no harm to the local ecology.

bet this little bugger does not like being in Wisconsin in the winter time. Will move him along shortly
Great walk on a fall caching day. I did a Travel Bug swap. S/L and Thanks!!!
Cool, a real travel bug. Picked him up from a cache in a great park in the Milwaukee area - woods, trails, prarie, great views, horse and dog friendly.
Considering lonesumdove's aversion to gross bugs, she reluctantly we picked this cool TB up. It was only because he was encased in plastic and unable to scare her like some we have seen at home (we seem to have many centipedes made there way into our home - ech)! Thank you for the great history on where this "bug" came from - very interesting. We have the perfect place to drop this little guy off. Thanks for sharing!
Will place shortly in a wooded area.
