To tour around, and steal a snack now and again.

Bonobo the Monkey's nick name is Banana. (you can probably guess there is a story behind that one). While The Happy Bee and I usually bring a snack with us when we go caching, Banana did something even better.  He took along his friend "Polly", the golden parrot.  Whenever Banana gets hungry, he sends Polly out to collect some munchies, and bring them back to the cache. 

I know ... NO FOOD ALLOWED IN A CACHE !  Too bad this monkey can't read.  I have warned him, and of course, he denies everything and promises to follow the rules.  So, if you ever catch Banana and Polly with food, please post a photo, then send them along on their journey to the next cache.

We released Banana at Hamgran's Harvestfest 2010 event, on August 28th, 2010. Off he went, and we never expected to see him again as he traveled the world in search of adventure and snacks.

Update !!

Wow ! Banana came home for a visit !  After traveling far and wide, Banana was dropped in Florida. Since we were planning a vacation to the Tampa Bay area to visit father, I watched him closely. Isn't this amazing ... He made it to the VA hospital in St. Petersburg. We drove the hour and a half to the Indian Rock Beach, and attended a St. Patrick's day CITO event. Then after the event, RubberRabbit and I came over and found the cache, and there was Banana ! He is in great shape, and I grabbed him for the 2,300 km journey north back home.

Now, he is being released again. This time, he is heading out from the COG Spring Fling mega event in Midland Ontario. June 16th, 2012.
