I discovered this coin on Team a-MAZE-ing's visit to the GPS Adventures Arkansas Maze Exhibit - Pine Bluff. Thanks for sharing!
Several months ago my friend, Abiectio, was talking about the GPS Adventure Maze Exhibit he head visited in Smackover, AR. I knew the exhibit was something I wanted to visit, but he said the exhibit was going to be moving to Pine Bluff shortly. Well, that's a good bit closer to home, so I figured I'd put together a little cachepedition into Arkansas with GC26ERF and GC1NK79 as the primary targets for the day.
With the help of Abiectio, I put together a bookmark list and shared it with several other friends who were going along. It wasn't an all-inclusive list, but had some interesting targets for us to seek along our path.
We gathered at Tom Lee Park on the Memphis Riverfront at 8am. Doughnuts were consumed, 4 vehicles consolidated to two and our first deviation from the bookmark list was planned. GC1X6BR became our first target and provided a spectacular, albeit hazy, view of the Memphis skyline about 8:40am. Muggleman in a white pickup drove up, took a look at us as we snapped photos, then he drove away down the same road. Maybe he was expecting someone different.
We then hit GC1597W, GC153BE (I still don't know who Tilden Rogers is), GC1RNJR, GCR5HJ (prepared to replace the container, but someone already did), GC95A2 (couldn't pass up Salvo's Virtual here), GCK4M2 (who'd have thought?), GCK9M8 (to help a team member avenge a DNF), GC1D461 (that started us hitting ParkCaches today ), GC1D46Y (nice mounds), Lunch at Chili's, GC2805C, Primary Target GC26ERF (thanks for all the hard work and to the museum for hosting), GC206HX (nice camo), GC200VF (found it with my monkey feet several feet from any logical hiding spot and replaced very close to the logical hiding spot), DNF'd GC273DP (but got our treat anyway), GC1C7CN (where Pippin98 woke up and said, "Wait! We're in New Orleans?"), Second Primary Target GC1NK79 (I can't imagine the hardship of surveying the LA Purchase from here), GC27682, GC1CFCJ (another ParkCache), GC2768A (we were there already...), GC2799X (Tiger wanted to watch us struggle with an under-rated difficulty cache), GC2799Q and finished the day with some team members finding GC1M6XA by flashlight.
A long day on the road, but quite productive and enjoyable. Thanks to all the cache hiders and to my friends who were along for this expedition.
