THIS PINEWOOD DERBY CAR WOULD LIKE TO MEET AT LEAST 100 GEOCACHERS AND HAVE ITS PICTURE TAKEN WITH SCOUTS AND SCENIC LOCATIONS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE ALONG THE WAY TO ITS GOAL OF THE CENTENNIAL 2010 BOY SCOUT NATIONAL SCOUT JAMBOREE BY JULY 26.
This car was made to CELEBRATE 100 YEARS of the Boy Scouts of America, and represent the Lake Huron Area Council by Pack 3554 in Kingston, Michigan.

I tried to retrieve our Council's derby cars on the last day of the Jamboree, but was told that the cars that made it to Technology Quest had already been given out to Jamboree participants to take and place into caches. No list of the cars that made it to the Jamboree has ever been released,as far as I am aware. I still don't know where this car is or whether it made it to Technology Quest at the Jamboree, but the following was released by BSA today:

Too late for Troop 241 to take advantage perhaps, but they just released a "Race to 2010 Pitstop" cache GC2C33C Coordinates are N 38° 10.015 W 077° 23.664
The travel bug can be taken there, or dropped off at the "Technology Quest" area of the Jamboree.

Car will be leaving tomorrow, July 22nd at 11:00 am from Lithopolis, Ohio to head to the National Jamboree. It will be traveling with members of Boy Scout Troop 241.

Here we are at the Simon Kenton Boy Scouts Head Office! And here is a picture of the fine young Boy Scouts that we have handed the Derby Car off too. They have assured us that they will be able to get it to the finish line! Keep us up do date!
