Please do not keep this coin, it is among several other identical coins created in honor of a life lived and cut short due to cancer. Nancy Palmer was introduced to geocaching by myself, MudPuppy. She went on many hikes with us and enjoyed the wilderdess with endless joy. This coin features the story of the Rainbow Bridge. This is in also in the honor of her beloved dog Jed who was tragically hit by a car while Nancy was incapacitated in the hospital with her first memorable fight with the disease. Nancy had a very rare cancer, Adrenal Cancer. Worldwide, about 1 out of 1 million people develop adrenal cancer each year. She fought this disease faithfully for 4 years, we almost lost her serveral times, but miracles do happen!!! She had a special zest for life in everyway. We lost her August 27th 2010, her room was filled with family and friends until her last breath was taken. Her body just wasn't strong enough anymore. She was then reunited with her dog Jed, and Soul Mate Dennis Hamil. The day we lost this amazing person, my husband and I were out and about on Peaks Island geocaching to honor her. She loved the ocean like no other, she use to be a tour boat capatin herself in Alaska! So Nancy Palmer this series is for you, on lots of missions to visit hometowns of friends sprawled across the United States, and past love affairs with the wilderness. Please move this coin in honor of her and PLEASE share a story about someone you know who BEAT this disease or LOST to this disease.
