At today's "Third Climbing in the Park Event" near Schwedt, I met poseptun, a cacher from Mirow, 100 kilometres away, who has the same passion as I do: he collects geocoins.

We had met before and I was able to see a small part of his very interesting collection.
Since I knew that he had managed to bring a complete set of the legendary Moun10Bike geocoins to the Mecklenburg Lake District, I naturally wanted to get some information about them from poseptun.

How surprised I was then when he took a box out of his backpack and opened it.
A real treasure beamed at me - the complete collection of Moun10Bike geocoins.

I saw the first "Moun10Bikes" behind glass 9 years ago in September at the "GEOCOINFEST EUROPE 2013" in Prague and marvelled at this first Geocoin even then.
In the following years, I was able to hold and discover a few more of these very special coins at meetings with reviewers, at geocoin events or with geocoin friends.

But the surprise today surpassed everything I had experienced so far. Actually, the situation was like in the first years of geocaching. The coins were not shown at a big MEGA event or at a geocoiners' meeting, but out in the open in nature. Only the Ammobox was missing, in which a Moun10Bike could be discovered.

Of course I looked at all the coins, experienced this uniqueness with all my senses, even if in an uncomfortable position.

Now, while logging, I was amazed for the second time. I am the first person to be allowed to discovern this treasure here in the east of Germany.
It is a great honour for me that Rolf has given me this pleasure and I thank him very much.

Best wishes also to Moun10Bike himself, who wrote geocaching history with his idea.
I would be very happy to meet him in person this summer in Abbotsford or Seattle.

Sincerely Karl-Heinz aka Compubaer

Herzlichst Karl-Heinz aka Compubaer

"This coin features a spinning inset on the reverse that models the spokes of a bicycle tire. Attentive observers will see that there is again a secret code embedded in the design.

Two hundred of these coins were minted by Coins & Pins. The first was released on July 13, 2008.
